Lawrence L. Marcucci – Chief Executive Officer

Lawrence is a 1976 graduate of the University of Illinois – Champaign with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He is also a 1980 graduate of the American Institute of Baking.  Lawrence co-founded Alpha Baking Company, Inc. in 1979.

His volunteer leadership roles include the following:

Mark R. Marcucci – President

Mark is a 1981 graduate of Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Management.  Mark joined the Alpha Baking Company team in 1981.

Todd Thornberg – Senior Vice President, Manufacturing

Todd joined the Alpha Baking Company team in 1981.  Starting out as a pan stacker, he was promoted to Production Manager, then Plant Manager before earning his current position. Todd now oversees manufacturing at all six production plants.

Robert J. McGuire – Senior Vice President, Logistics

Robert is a 1987 graduate of Elmhurst College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and a 1991 graduate of Lewis University-Romeoville with a Master of Business Administration.

His volunteer leadership roles include the following:

1993 – 1996    Illinois Labor Relations Association Board of Directors
2008 – present    American Bakers Association Fleet and Distribution Managers Committee Chairman

Tim J. Gill – Senior Vice President, Sales

Tim Gill began his commercial baking sales career in 1984 and joined Alpha Baking Company in 1989.  Today, as Vice President of Frozen Foodservice, Tim oversees our national frozen foodservice division, encompassing broadline and specialized distributor sales, large leverage operators (LLO), regional chains, as well as our staff of market sales managers and nationwide broker community.

William B. Houston – Senior Vice President, Business Operations

William is a graduate of Loyola University – Chicago with a double major in Information Systems and Operations Management.  William joined the Alpha Baking Company team in 2005.

Davis Whittier – Vice President, National Sales

Davis is a graduate of Loyola University – Chicago with a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and International Business degree.  In addition he has more than 30 years of experience in the foodservice field. Davis joined the Alpha Baking Company team in 2017.

Tim Perakis – Vice President, DSD Sales

Tim is a 2001 Graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts. He started his career at Alpha Baking in 2006 as a route driver, then supervisor, before joining the DSD sales team.

Mark Marcucci Jr. – Vice President, Frozen Foodservice

Mark is a graduate of Indiana University who joined Alpha Baking’s Frozen Foodservice division in 2010. Mark manages a staff of market sales managers and a nationwide broker community and oversees broadline and specialized distributor sales, large leverage operators (LLOs), and regional chains.

Tim Lotesto – Vice President, Retail Sales

Tim is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago. He joined Alpha Baking in 2007. Tim oversees S. Rosen’s, Natural Ovens Bakery, and private label products sold both in the Midwest through direct store delivery and through thaw and sell programs nationwide. In addition, Tim oversees Alpha Baking’s Marketing department.

Marta A. Stein – General Counsel

Marta is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in Economics and a Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.  Prior to joining Alpha Baking Company, Marta was an equity partner with the nationally recognized law firm McGuireWoods LLP, and has worked with Alpha Baking Company for over 20 years while in private practice.
