Lawrence L. Marcucci – President and Chief Executive Officer

Lawrence is a 1976 graduate of the University of Illinois-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He is also a 1980 graduate of the American Institute of Baking.  Lawrence co-founded Alpha Baking Company, Inc. in 1979.

Michael L. Marcucci – Chairman

Michael is a 1971 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Economics. During 1970, he interned as a staff assistant on the Joint Economic Committee of Congress in Washington, D.C.  Michael co-founded Alpha Baking Company, Inc. in 1979.

Mark R. Marcucci – Vice President of Sales

Mark is a 1981 graduate of Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Management.  Mark joined the Alpha Baking Company team in 1981.  He manages the fresh baked sales efforts and route distribution on the food service side for Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri and central Indiana.  He also has direct contact with all key fresh food service chain accounts.

Robert G. Cruice – Executive Vice President and Treasurer

Robert is a 1981 graduate of Northeastern Illinois University with a degree in Accounting. In 1981, he earned his certified public accountant designation.  Robert joined the Alpha Baking Company team in 1979.  He serves as a trustee to both single and multi employer pension and health benefits plans.

Steven A. Rosen – Vice President & General Manager

Steven is a 1974 graduate of Drake University-Des Moines with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.  Steven began his career in 1974 at Rosen’s Bakery, and continued on after the merger with Alpha Baking Company. He is responsible for the Polk Street facility.

Marc J. Zawicki – Chief Financial Officer

Marc is a 1977 graduate of DePaul University-Chicago with an accounting degree. In 1977, Marc earned his certified public accountant designation. He is also a 1980 graduate of DePaul University-Chicago with a Masters of Business Administration in Finance.
Marc joined the Alpha Baking Company team in 2000. He oversees the accounting functions along with financial and sales analyses for Alpha Baking Company.

Gary D. Narcisi – Group Vice President, Frozen Foodservice & Retail Divisions

Gary Narcisi is a 1983 graduate of Eastern Illinois University, and joined Alpha Baking Company in 1989.  As Group Vice President of Frozen Foodservice and Retail, Gary provides strategic counsel to our retail and frozen foodservice divisions, as well as to our corporate marketing and customer service departments.

Tim J. Gill – Vice President, Frozen Foodservice

Tim Gill began his commercial baking sales career in 1984 and joined Alpha Baking Company in 1989.  Today, as Vice President of Frozen Foodservice, Tim oversees our national frozen foodservice division, encompassing broadline and specialized distributor sales, large leverage operators (LLO), regional chains, as well as our staff of market sales managers and nationwide broker community.

Joe Nemethy – Vice President, Retail Sales & Operations

Joe Nemethy is a 1984 graduate of University of Illinois-Champaign/Urbana with a degree in Agriculture.  Joe joined Alpha Baking Company in 1994, bringing his experience in distribution and grocery store management to Alpha’s retail division.  As Vice President of Retail Sales and Operations, Joe manages our team of retail sales managers and retail distribution avenue.

Robert J. McGuire – Vice President, Director of Logistics

Robert is a 1987 graduate of Elmhurst College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and a 1991 graduate of Lewis University-Romeoville with a Master of Business Administration.

His volunteer leadership roles include the following:

David Granger – Senior Vice President of Operations

David joined the Alpha Baking Company team in 1991.  He oversees both process and maintenance engineering in all four facilities, with his home base in Chicago at the Polk Street plant.

Larry K. Mitchell – President of Kreamo Bakers Division

Larry started with bakery sales in the Detroit, Michigan area in 1966. He joined the Alpha Baking Company team in 1979.  Larry became president of Kreamo Bakers in 1986.  He also manages the fresh bakery sales in Indiana and Michigan.

Todd Thornberg – Vice President, Manufacturing

Todd joined the Alpha Baking Company team in 1981.  Starting out as a pan stacker, he was promoted to Production Manager, then Plant Manager before earning his current position. Todd now oversees manufacturing at all four production plants.

Paul T. Spencer – Vice President, National Accounts

Paul is a graduate of University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing.  Paul is responsible for the business development of the national chain account segment for the frozen foodservice team.  He has over 40 years of experience in restaurant operations and supply, including the bread, meat, cheese, dessert, and beverage categories.

William Houston – Director of Information Technology

William is a graduate of Loyola University-Chicago with a double major in Information Systems and Operations Management.  William joined the Alpha Baking Company team in 2005. He is currently the Director of Information Technology.

Tim Lotesto – Director, National Retail Key Accounts

Tim is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago with a major in writing. He joined Alpha Baking in 2007. Tim oversees branded and private label products and processes for select retail customers nationwide.
